CASE STUDY | EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION & ENGAGEMENT
Employee Recognition & Engagement
Strategic Focus: Connecting employees to company culture through recognition, storytelling, and executive communications.
To protect confidentiality, names and identifying details have been changed, and writing samples have been adapted from original communications.
The Situation
A national organization introduced a new employee recognition program designed to celebrate individuals who exemplified its core values. The inaugural awards provided an opportunity to recognize outstanding contributions while reinforcing the behaviors and culture the organization wanted to encourage.
The Challenge
Employee recognition needed to feel meaningful and personal rather than like another corporate announcement. The communications had to celebrate individual accomplishments while connecting those contributions to the organization's broader values.
The challenge was also to communicate the recognition in two distinct voices: a personal message from senior leadership to the award recipient and an engaging employee story that could be shared across the organization.
My Role
As an Internal Communications Writer, I developed executive recognition messaging and employee-facing storytelling to support the inaugural awards program. I worked with the recognition details and employee perspectives to create content appropriate for each audience while maintaining consistent messaging around organizational values.
